Govt may promote annual age-wise competitions (similar to under 14, 15-19, open, etc in football) (on lines of sahitya akademi) like:
1. Best Bharatnatyam, Odissi, kuchipudi, etc performance
2. Best story-recital in Hindi, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, etc
3. Best theater play in various languages
4. Best social message, national integration, etc themes in theater, dance, song, music, etc
Contract with media and TV companies to promote it. They are looking for content and govt can sell rights.

For this, govt shud enable a system of grants (say 2,000 cr pa) channeled thru an eminent board for:
1. students of film and media to produce documentaries, films, etc
2. media & film professionals for documentaries, films, etc that might not make great commercial sense.
3. encourage prize competitions at college level and market it like Indian Idol etc. For this, govt shud contract with cos like Zee, Sony, Star, etc.
4. min 500 proposals every year and no proposal more than say 10 crores.

Following are the few ideas I can think whihc will work in promoting our culture.
1. Running the videos about the importance of the respective places in every tourist or cultural heritage will help many people to understand the importance.
2. Creating the accounts for every cultural heritage and places in social media and regular updates from those accounts about the places.
3. Regular columns/shows in major newspapers/TV channels about our places and improtance & need to keep them clean.

These films produced can be cinematic or TV films. This co shud be kept apart from I&B ministry and AIR/Dorshan shud air their products based on their commercial interests.

The govt shud set up a company under Cos act and get reputed film directors as its directors and editorial board. This co should then produce films of human interest like love stories, adventure, thrillers, etc. but are set in periods and backgrounds of Indian history. For eg. Manohar Mulgaonkar's Bend in the Ganges set in partition times. Evaluation of this cos performance can be done on 3 factors: how any aawrds it wins, its commercial returns and the average rating of critical acclaim.

1) Debates in media during prime time (voluntarily) should be held after completion of parliamentary discussions.
2) Topics with sole intention of garnering viewership or debates not listed for parliamentary discussions (voluntarily) should be conducted during non-prime time hours.
Above steps are needed to ensure non-interference & distraction to governance irrespective of parties in power.

SHRI MODI Saab, the most dangerous loss the congress has done is to give approval for GENETICALLY MODIFIED COTTON SEEDS called as BT cotton seeds & GM foods & oils. Recent EUROPEAN research says that GENETICALLY modified FOODS have destroyed the NATURAL HUMAN HEALTH and made extreme long term SIDE EFFECTS.On March 21, 2014, the Indian government revalidated 10 GM-based food crops and allowed field trials of GM food crops, including wheat, rice and maize. So dear, MODI sir please BAN all GM foods
