The Government of India issued guidelines for the promotion of payments through cards and digital means on 29th February, 2016. The guidelines can be seen (here). A Committee was also constituted under the Chairmanship of Shri Ratan P Watal, Principal Advisor, NITI Ayog and Former Finance Secretary with key industry stakeholders, RBI and concerned Government Departments to review medium term measures necessary to promote the digital payment system in the Country. The Committee’s report can be seen here.

The Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India invites public Comments / suggestions on the report. We invite you to read the report and provide your valuable feedback and suggestions by 11th January 2017. The final decision on the Report will be taken after considering the comments/suggestions received on the Report.

Please extend deadline for old notes exchange for NRI's till July end as most of GCC people getting holidays in this period.

Please make all government receipts payable by cashless transactions only either by debit cards or net transactions. On priority do this in case of traffic fines and similar things, as there are lot of loopholes in current book-receipt system and lot of irregularities in it.

The main problem I faced during the demonetization was travelling in public transport. Dear PM, please ensure the public transports also accept digital payments. So that the public won't have to face any problem and will take one more step in making India digital.

Priority cards on the similar lines of BPL Sir, As mentioned in PM'S speech--its shameful that only 25 Lakh people has accepted to have more than 10 lakh income.So I suggest to start PRIORITY CARD to these income tax payees--- so that as least they should feel rewarded and more and more people should come forward to get that card and thus start paying more taxes.under the PRIORITY CARD, many freebies can be offered like 0.25% more interest rate,preference in queue in hospitals,airports,rail,et

For maximize cashless system free transiction from pos. trans.free all card swipe from any shop and zero charges from account trfr transactions and safe mobile banking.

Sir compulsory discount quarterly for shopkeeper for doing transaction on cheques or any digit methods means on pakka bill .. For example:- IF ANY TRADER HAS QUATERLY SALE OF 25 Lakhs on 1(ek) number The discount will be 50000 .. many people will come into this because they will start selling on bill to earn quarterly rewards and govt will gain more taxes

This is in addition to my previous comment... From my experience, I want to tell you this... Thumb impression (or any finger print for that matter) is not a reliable identifier for people especially from lower strata. In our organization, lower level staff are not able to use bio-metric attendance system due to heavy wear-and-tear in their fingers. So, we have been providing alternative options to these staff members such as RFID card or password to punch. Please think about an alternative.

Digital payments: 1) Remove the fear. Both payer and payee have their own fears of transacting in digital mode. 2) Remove the obstacles for digital payments. 3) Believe in encouraging (for using digital instruments) than punishing (for using cash). Generally positive things work better than negative things! Check my other post for an important information....

Teach people by installing large screen out side railway station,malls,Markets,Mandi,every public places ,every class easily cover under it. Arrange volunteers if possible on that place. start separate site for volunteers to communicate with them.
