Indian National Defence University Bill, 2015 proposes to establish a world class fully autonomous institution of National Importance under Ministry of Defence. University will develop and propagate higher education (PhD, M Phil, M Tech and M Sc) in National Security Studies, Defence Management and Defence Technology and promote policy oriented research on all aspects relating to national security, both internal and external. It would also encourage awareness of national security issues by reaching out to scholars and an audience beyond the official machinery. It will also serve as a think tank contributing to policy formulation and debates on security and strategy. INDU will inculcate and promote coordination and interaction not just between the three Armed Services but also between other agencies of the Government, the Civil Bureaucracy, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Intelligence Services, Diplomats, Academicians, Strategic Planners, University Students and officers from Friendly Foreign Countries. It would create synergy between the academic community and Govt functionaries. It would make available opportunities for higher studies through distance learning to interested military personnel.

Initially, four new colleges / institutions, namely School of National Security Studies, School of Defence Technology, School of Defence Management and Centre for Distance and Open Learning are proposed to be set up at main campus at Binola, Gurgaon. The four existing Defence Institutions namely National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune are proposed to be brought under the ambit of INDU without diluting their powers or autonomy for award of degrees and diplomas.

The last date for sharing inputs on Draft Indian National Defense University Bill, 2015 is 21st August, 2016.

Security education for Madrsas appointment of teacher should be by government. Private Madarsas education should be viewed by goverment. Vedic system of education should be started in all Hindustani government aided schools and private schools registered in government board.Ph.Ed in rigved, yajurved, samveda, atharvaveda, jyotish, ramayan, gita, upnishad, puran, Ayurveda, Yoga should be encouraged with support right from class I to MA, Mtech, MBA, all forces reservation with this education.

Respected Sir, Separate Defense University is very much required. Psychology, behavioral technique, intelligence gathering technique, foreign country diplomacy having different wings as different regions of world, security sense proliferation and security participation by common mass, UN-orthodox but winnable fighting technique those should be researched.

opening of separate defense university is very bad idea, wont result in anything better than military training school. Better open Defense center for research in 6 old IITs and ask them to innovate defense R&D, weapon system etc. They have all branches of engineering with specialist.

The challenges presently being faced by our Army, Navy and Airforce should be listed, classified and the proposed University should be given a task to identify remedies.

Defence Minister should be appointed as a Chancellor of this University and Prime Minister himself should visit this university once in a year to motivate students in order to gain strength by sharing their views directly to Prime Minister.

Former Chief of Army Staff should be appointed as a Vice-Chancellor of National Defence University.Information about courses,class schedule and timings,class notes should be in digital form and University should have a goal of "Less Conventional,More Digital".Students should have biometric identity card to record their attendance.

Bureaucrats should not be appointed to key posts in administration.Only best army officers and defence expert should run university's administration.Then,it should have the highest degree of discipline among students in order to produce world class defence engineers.University should have invite foreign defence experts and serving military officers of other countries to share their knowledge and expertise.

National Defence University should have world class infrastructure like environment friendly,runs totally on solar energy,fully Wi-Fi,earthquake resistant building,battery operated vehicles running in the campus,digital library,like having tablets at every table in the library,so that students can read digital edition of books,etc.Then,it should have one of the best faculties in the world related to defence studies.

University focus on Defense strategy eg Nuclear and non conventional war & Defense method and machine, Weapon inspired from Suderson Chakra need to be reinvent. Now direct war chances is very thin in the era of globalization we need answer on indirect war (terrorism). We need to developed strategy to deal with such war. Weapon having capability to trace enemy through biometrics is much needed. Defense system to paralyzed targeted crowed to eliminate enemy.

It should have strong collaboration with IITs,IISc,IISERs,DRDO,ISI, ISRO and other research and technical institute for research and technical support. These institutions should have sponsored courses there. Working with army or atleast one year training by army should be must for those students to inculcate patriotism and to know requirements and status of indian defence. Student selection process should be rigorous like IIT JEE advance .Better if NDA and IIT combined look after it.
