Indian National Defence University Bill, 2015 proposes to establish a world class fully autonomous institution of National Importance under Ministry of Defence. University will develop and propagate higher education (PhD, M Phil, M Tech and M Sc) in National Security Studies, Defence Management and Defence Technology and promote policy oriented research on all aspects relating to national security, both internal and external. It would also encourage awareness of national security issues by reaching out to scholars and an audience beyond the official machinery. It will also serve as a think tank contributing to policy formulation and debates on security and strategy. INDU will inculcate and promote coordination and interaction not just between the three Armed Services but also between other agencies of the Government, the Civil Bureaucracy, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Intelligence Services, Diplomats, Academicians, Strategic Planners, University Students and officers from Friendly Foreign Countries. It would create synergy between the academic community and Govt functionaries. It would make available opportunities for higher studies through distance learning to interested military personnel.

Initially, four new colleges / institutions, namely School of National Security Studies, School of Defence Technology, School of Defence Management and Centre for Distance and Open Learning are proposed to be set up at main campus at Binola, Gurgaon. The four existing Defence Institutions namely National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune are proposed to be brought under the ambit of INDU without diluting their powers or autonomy for award of degrees and diplomas.

Goverment should remove Shivsena from BMS from Mumbai this is main reason why Mumbai is not developing. Have you seen Mumbai road. Please travel from Kandivali to Borivali aroung distance between kandivali to borivali is 5 Km but you will find 100 potholes. Why you are giving such contact to contractor who does not deliever and why you dont have expert who directly report to CM. Why you need one more body who is rule by shivsena. Just come to Dubai you will not find any potholes.

In INDU, there should be no provision for reservations based on caste or religion etc, as in the defence forces. Let the merit prevail. Thanks.

This time there should be proper course for arms and weapons. Means there should be a course for making high level weapons to come with the level of super powers. India must introduce their homemade weapons rather than purchasing it from other countries. It will increase our power as well as it will make us self dependent. I hopefully suggest to give us means Indian students a vhanse by this institution to show oru abilities and I am dam sure we are gonna top of the world.

Not to lose time Bill may consider a definite time frame for the envisaged structure to come up, review of security environment, promulgation of security doctrine and essential common security parameters and to have in place first phase of INDU security architecture including affiliates.’ Regards, Jangbir

3. INDU may be considered to form the core for security sensitization-preparation of the nation and its character not merely of ‘provisioning on request’ but also ‘engaging as required’ and ‘not only of ‘expecting and seeking’ but also ‘pursuing and persevering’. 4. May consider ‘Foreign Studies School’ as one of its unit.

To create a cohesive security compass for the nation for affiliated institution it may be considered to imperatively imbibe such thought and ideas emanating from research and similar studies as are relevant and consistent with the role and requirement of affiliated institution, including the armed forces.

Sir, ‘1. Considering INDU being premier national defense institution the INDU dispensation besides academically disposed may consider to address equally in parallel transition, integration of formulated policy-procedures at all level, laterally - vertically.

I am an engineer and my suggestions are based on this orientation. Future wars or conflicts or defense operations within and outside the country are going to be more and more hi-tech. It is therefore necessary that we are always one-up on our opponents technologically. For example, our shoulders should be well-protected with the best uniform and equipment They should carry instruments and devices which can forewarn them about any movement, sound or vibration within a distance say 100 meters.
