सरकारी कॉलेज और विश्वविध्यालयों में पढ़ाये जा रहे कोर्स का स्वरुप बदलने की भी जरुरत है जहाँ सिर्फ Admission, Election and Examination होता है, Education नाम की चीज़ जहाँ नज़र ही नहीं आती, ये सिर्फ डिग्री बाँटने वाले केंद्र बन कर रह गए है ।

मुझे लगता है की विश्वविध्यालय अनुदान आयोग को अब खत्म करने का समय आ गया है, जैसा हरि गौतम कमेटी की भी सिफारिश है, UGC को जिस उद्देश्य के लिये बनाया गया था, वो उस से भटक गयी है, ओर हाल के वर्षो मे Net June 2012 की परीक्षा ओर UGC regulation 2009 से जुड़े विवादो मे जिस तरह देश के विभिन्न न्यायालयों मे महंगे वकील खड़े करके UGC को अपनी साख बचानी पड़ी है, उस से लगता है की UGC अब इस कगार पर पहुच गयी है, जहाँ कुछ कट्टरपंथी सोच के लोग बैठ कर लकीर पीट रहे है, ओर वो किसी भी reform को होने नहीं देना चाहते।

lab facilities are really poor in most of the government and private institute.. and most of the research work are worthless.without any proper objectives they are draining government money. it is duty of government to approve fundz only for those project which could really do better for society more over each department of universities should be tie up with related industry so that student and professor could understand what are major industrial problems and how that can be fixed.

most of the universities has been dominated by local people from staff to students we need to maintain diversity becz this is the key factor to increase the standard and culture of education.. i think there should be a one entrance exam system for entry in all bachelor courses in all state and central university provided fee and hostel facilities should be cut down to be optimum level for poor and deprived people.if not central but sates can take this great initiative

I believe the budgeting is the core issue for this cause as the private schools get aided and starts giving salary as the government teachers get. Give extra privileage to our Government teachers feel that they are working towards Better India. Private schools are minting money interms of building fund and avoiding tax for the same. which means they don't need to have government aid. As a teacher in University I feel that universities requires more autonomy, more funding for research. Our countries budgetary expenditure in education is low with respect to other countries. E-governance also need to be adopted in University as well as schools. My university is functioning from more than one year without regular Vice- Chancellor. It has caused a great loss to university. Actually the appointment of new VC must start before the term ends for present VC/Director of any Univ.

As a university teacher I have observed that the quality of students is not improving rather decreasing every year. The reasons may be * Unrealistic evaluation at school level. The exam and evaluation system needs reconsideration. High results are given in 10th and 12th exams so that the private colleges can get sufficient number of students admitted. * Privatization of education has made education a money making business leaving the quality education only on paper. Need to change it.

The quality of present higher education system in India especially engineering education is very poor. It is in bad shape and almost in the verge of collapse. It is high time for the government to take reforms in engineering education to make it in par with other countries. The reason for this is too many engineering colleges in the country than any other countries in the world. More engineering graduates pass out every year and the number is too high than the country's actual demand.

We have an 100 year old Technic which is used for educating students I wish the reformation has to happen every 2 years and the knowledge in textbooks is outdated(20 years) then present technology. The whole syllabus has to be reformed we wish the syllabus has to be reformed as of IIT and IIM, when they are getting the awesome knowledge then why can't we. We should has unified syllabus around India( One course, One Syllabus, One India)
