Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

Registration for digital locker requires mobile link aadhar number. However it is extremely difficult to update mobile no. in aadhar due to which registration with digital locker becomes impossible task. Therefore updation of mobile no. in aadhar should become easy and if possible should be allowed to do it online.

if indian govt take bold step to provide single number for their whole life otherwise when a person want to admit in first class his/her roll no is unique if open account new number ; appear in entrance test new number or passport number he / she has to remember lot of his numbers

Digital locker should have a provision to be accessible even at low internet speeds like gmail is accessible at low speeds in HTML mode. Give a unique ID account number to each individual such that ID number can be provided during applications by candidates.

All the universities, schools, companies, organisation etc. should compulsory DigiLocker for the safety of everyone's original documents ..

Once the documents uploaded and verified.. there should be view link of document which can be viewed only when you enter password for security..

All universities of the country whether central govt, state govt or even deemed universities should be asked to compulsorily upload a digitally signed marksheet and passing certificates on the student's digital locker. This would be possible if a option of 'Aadhar' number is given in exam application form. At the time of admission for subsequent courses in a student's career the student need to give a true copy everywhere, and the college can directly retrieve his digitally signed copy.
