India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

Honourable PM sir, it is very important to provide proper and charactristic information about HIV from early stages like providing the information from the scooldays like it should be a part of syllabus for the school students as school time is the stage when a child comes in contact of more and more rumours and it is important to guide a child with the help of books, teachers and parents simultaneously so that one can get and provide this vluable information to others and also can prevent it.

HONORABLE PRIME MINISTER SAHIB, KEROSENE OIL IS MAIN PROBLEM FOR OPEN MARKET. NO OTHER SOURCE OF SALE OTHER THAN TO PURCHASE IN BLACK. KINDLY MAKE OPEN MARKET FOR KEROSENE OIL. AS PRINTING INDUSTRY AND PESTICIDE INDUSTRY HAS TO BUY IT IN BLACK FROM GOVT. DEPOT HOLDERS. KINDLY LOOK THIS MATTER. THIS SHALL NOT ONLY SAVE THE BLACK MARKET BUT ALSO HELP TO REDUCE THE BURDEN OF SUBSIDY TO THE PEOPLE OF INDIA. THANKS RAJIV GUPTA

Best way to facilitate early detection of HIV is to increase awareness and decrease stigma in the society about the very disease. Only by extensive and channelised diagnostic network it is possible to diagnose HIV and further put the subject on ART. So a network of diagnostic labs including govt and private sector should be established also it should be strictly monitored for privacy and safety.
