India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

Also the Indian society has to stop spending on dowry in marriages...these things also put ppl on debt due more and more demand in dowry. Indian parents and as whole the society has to change. Instead of spending on dowry, parents should give share in their properties to their daughters too and all the females in the coming generation should be advised to demand for this. This will save ppl taking unnecessary loans on high interest for dowry and make them less tensed.

every citizen could manage his 5kg rain and other basic needs on his own as it can be planned. if a physically/medically fit person cant do this much then we are heading to be a useless country where only ppl who are working being penalized with more and more taxes. Assume the situation if a person who you are giving 5kg grain had to spend same time like Rs 50k on his family's medical expenses what good are you doing by 5kg grain. that Rs 50k hole in pocket is going put him on debt and suffer.

CGHS wellness centers spread throughout India may consider including Aadhar card number and relevant details in the CGHS card issued to the beneficiaries. Will the health ministry kindly consider this ?

many ppl getting grains under food security are feeding it to cattle. what's the use. distress situations make ppl poor like when some one is ill or having disease and Govt hospitals are not well equipped or not willing or their is scarcity, ppl are forced to go private at any cost whether they could afford it or not, and they go in debt hence becoming poor but Govt can boast we provided 5kg grain every month.

make Govt hospitals and education institutes the best and have strict regulations for private players so they don't loot public (be it rich or poor). Govt should focus on these two important things and mainly on regulations in other fields. strengthen the Govt machinery to becorruption free and just provide public basic infrastructure like roads, electricity and water. If Govt could do this no other populist schemes are required as ppl should work for basic needs of Roti Kapda Makan themselves.

my Basic expectations from Govt Govt should only help its citizens in the situations of distress. Health is one of the distress situation which does not see poor or rich. Another area Govt should focus is education to have better future of country. hence, Govt should focus its investment in health and education irrespective of rich or poor. everybody should benefit. Even rich ppl who paying govt tax should benefit with this.

Sir kindly think on the need for government to open Generic Medical shops Pan India.Patients become the victim with the indirect tie up of Doctor,Medical shops owners and Pharma companies for their benefits respectively. If the generic medical shops are opened in nook and corner of the country Patients will be benefited, and unemployed will also get employment opportunities.Medicines are available at affordable prices to all.
