India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

Dear Sir, India even with no development is known for ages for its rich ethical values. Increasing crime shows diminishing moral values. Chanakya nithi says-real poverty to a nation is citizens becoming evil. A strong foundation for a prosperous India is its noble citizens. Permanent solution is seeding moral values in children-conceiving stage (scientifically proven) to 16 yr of age at home, hospitals, schools etc. For grown up www.chsj.org can change. More institutions like this are required.

Projects and schemes are prepared by different central and state level organizations but the target groups are not aware about the provisions, they should be informed to get the people's participation to make the projects & schemes successful. At every radio talks projects & schemes of an individual department may be discussed and feedback from common people should be encouraged in the form of letters, phone calls etc. Broad band Internet connectivity should be must at every corner of nation..

EBOLA PROTECTION, People who care for those infected with Ebola should wear protective clothing including masks, gloves, gowns and goggles. The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommend that the protective gear leaves no skin exposed. These measures are also recommended for those who may handle objects contaminated by an infected person's body fluids.
