India has an estimated 20.9 lakh people living with HIV. However, nearly 30 -35 percent of these do not know there HIV status. After a person gets infected with HIV, there is a long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years when infected person may not have any symptoms till his immunity goes down significantly and he start getting different opportunistic infection like TB, diarrhoea, fungal infection etc. Hence most of the HIV infected persons present to health system in late stage when immunity is very low and their response to treatment may not be optimal. Also during this long asymptomatic period of 5-8 years, though they are infected but may not be aware of HIV status and are capable of spreading the infection their spouse or others if they continue to indulge unprotected sex.

Early detection of PLHIV is beneficial for patient himself as he can receive timely appropriate treatment including ART as well as for the community to stop further transmission of HIV.

We invite suggestion from community/ NGO/ CBO/ Civil society and public at large their views/ ideas on How to facilitate early detection of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and put them on ART as soon as possible.

I have seen a lot of these in my professional life and would suggest the following: - 1. Encouraging banners related to HIV testing at all public places, lets break the taboo. 2. Free testing for HIV at all laboratories, not only government hospitals. 3. Issue certificates and incentivize those who get tested. 4. Celebrate Anti-HIV day just like Pulse -Polio immunization day(free testing camps). 5. Build specific ART dispense centers at every district. 6. Abundant ART for free/cheap.

India is a huge country and the availability of super specialty hospitals are limited to big cities as a reason of which a lot many critically ill patients are required to travel long distances to reach such hospitals. It is suggested that trains be provided with atleast one bogie that is specially fitted out so as to carry ill patients from one location to other in terms of larger doors, ramp facility, space for moving around stretchers etc, accessible toilet facilities etc.

Honorable PM, How you made Bank Acc for citizen of India same way each citizen of India requires Health insurance and it should be mandate to have and strong Org should be build for that to have strong system to control the health system of India, how US has a system where GOV will keep a note of quality on health facilities provided by the hospitals. Health insurance will bear the burden of poor people surviving from the costlier/big diseases. I loved the US insurance policy why can't INDIA.

Honourable PM, I would like to draw your kind attention on the following few lines: It is being realized by Govt Employees since independence that difference between minimum pay and maximum pay is so huge i.e.16 times. The same must be reduced to 3 times like country Sweden. In present scenario, needs of all categories of Central Govt Employees are quite similar. If it implements in the country, the same would be massive change towards establishment of socio-economic equality in Indian society.
