As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

Optimum use of the Resources are not explored rather exploited by the Governing body themselves due to their knowledge levels and they always think what they do is right when it is wrong. This has been proved thro the repurcusions of the Nature immediately which they do not know to relate as a reason.

Let us live with Nature and it the one our ancestors taught to us without disturing or polluting the energy levels live a healthy life. All is possible and the same should be welcomed thro policies of the governance. Anything against the Nature is the doomed situation which they realise immediately.A Sunami, Earth Quake and all are the results of the same

The problems of farmers and lack of irrigation, and hence shortfall in farm produce, are related to free power promised by various governments in the past. We now have surplus power but no takers because of poor finances of discoms. Let the power tariff be realistic. No free power. Provide direct benefit transfer of power subsidy to the farmer's bank account.
