As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

This also important to establish Markets where farmers can sell their produces at good prices without being exploited by middlemen. Small farmers r specifically vulnerable they need support and guidance.

I do not agree that every village has specific problems. There are very apparent and universal reasons that make the agriculture unprofitable. those r high cost of irrigation, high labor cost, nonavailability of small and low cost instruments and when farmers are ready with their produce then middlemen not let them to get reasonable cost. govt.s r hitting at wrong points. Important is that to train and to guide the farmers to produce demand able and high quality crops at low cost.

Farming has become unprofitable due to many many reasons which has led to huge migration from rural areas to urban centres and farmers suicide. In spite of many good government policies and fund allocation to improve the situation for the reasons known to all sensible fellow citizens.Hence there is need for analysis of ground realities and reasons for failure of government efforts.Broadly, it is seen that villages are not sustainable as socio-economic centres & every village problem is different

Our agriculture needs a management and research input very badly. Like the harit kranti the utmost need is that how can we make the agriculture profitable. there is great need to develop economic and cheap instruments of farming, irrigation and food processing. Agriculture universities what r u doing. Pradhnmantri ji give them result and time bound projects otherwise they don't deserve a regular grant which is obviously huge amount.

One of the threatening industry to trees & greenary is the so called tissue paper/napkin etc.The increasing culture of use of tissue & napkin is pushing the tissue/napkin manufacturing industry. As we know the industry depends/uses pulp from trees the growth is a warning for future. What we have observed the sheer wastage of these paper by people due to the cheap cost in India.People use many tissue papers for simple thing like cleaning hands. We need to take some action to avoid these wastage.

AND WE SHOULD MAKE USE OF SEWAGE FARMING MORE AND MORE AND ORGANIC FARMING AS THEY ARE CHEAP AND BETTER PLUS A FOOD QUALITY AUDIT SHOULD BE MADE EVERY MONTH BY THE STATE GOVT.

THEN WE COLLECT WASTE FROM HOUSES & INSTEAD OF LANDFILLING OR INCINERATION WE CONVERT THEM TO GREEN COAL AND MANURE THEREBY SELLING IT WOULD BE BETTER, THEN ABOUT ENERGY WE CAN MAKE USE OF SOLAR IN PLACES WHICH ARE GIFTED BY AMPLE SUNLIGHT LIKE RAJASTHAN AND MOUNTAIN AREAS AND USE OF WIND MILLS & ALL IN COASTAL AREAS/AREAS GIFTED WITH WIND. SECOND THING THERE WAS A PROJECT OF NEW MOTI BAGH IN DELHI DONE BY NBCC I THINK EVERY COLONY SOCIETY SHOULD BE MADE IN THAT WAY ON GREEN BUILDING CONCEPT.

SIR FIRST A LOT OF LAND GO WASTED FOR LAND FILLING AND ALL THE ACTIVITIES I SUGGEST WE MAKE USE OF THE LAND TO DECREASE OUR LAND PROBLEM. SECOND WE SHOULD START WITH PROPER MAINTAINING OF PLASTICS, WE SHOULD NOT BAN IT BECAUSE IF WE USE PAPER INSTEAD OF IT THEN A LOT OF DEFORESTATION WILL OCCUR AND NOW A DAYS WE CAN MAKE FUEL OUT OF PLASTICS AND PLASTICS ARE BETTER MATERIAL ONLY IF THEY ARE MAINTAINED AS PER SOME GUIDELINES
