As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

I attach herewith two articles titled 'A Roadmap for growth in Indian Villages' and why India needs Food Bankers which suggests food monetization and outsourcing of village development work to a newly developed capacity holder 'Village Audit and Architect Firm'against consulatation fee. Both can be catalytic in skill development and other developmental roadmap of rural area. The ideas are worth replicating on ground as it would create jobs for rural and urban youth alike

one can only pity..assaulting/torturing people to extract confession is an offence under Section 330 of the I P c.This ruling is against innumerable rulings of the Apex court.committing crime is no part of official duty..what a pity I can only sympathize with such decision making.I didn't expect this from he supreme court of India. Police Excess during investigation is part of official duty ; Prosecution without Sanction..is illegal says the Supreme court In Criminal Appeal 722/2015
