As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

Dear Mr Modi, I assume you know the concept of 'Wadi' which are in numbers in Valsad. I would request you to implement the same throughout the rain deprived states. In this way there will be an overall return for the farmers without them leaving their respective lands. In addition to that, I would recommend that that there should not be stress on "planting" trees alone, but to "nurture" them too. This can be achieved successfully by PPP. Thank you! I hope to see a clean and green future.

Dear Sir Good Evening.I would like to suggest about to plant more trees around the road. It is very important because day by day CO2 is increasing so there is suddenly changes in Temperature, rain, Earthquake.I think we should give this responsiblity to Gram Panchayat for Village, Nagarpalika at Taluka level, Muncipal corporation at district level. We should to motivate them if these sources plant more trees and preserve them then govt. will declear the prize to them. We have to motivate them.

Respected Sir, I request you to appeal to the people of India to make a habit of planting new trees for celebrating happy moments of their life. For example we can ask parents to help kids to plant trees on every birthday of kid... Also we can ask people to distribute plants as gifts to their relatives and friends.

Sir for poor farmers with small land holdings I suggest a reverseeasing model whereby corporates can lease land from a bunch of small farmers in a given area practise commercial agriculture and employ the very same farmers paying them wages all the while the wages decided by the labour department, and simultaneously receiving rentals from the corporates at a price fixed by a formula comprising the community racial lease value of the land and the Price of the crop in the international market
