As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

My worry about to farmers who are really doing best job but they're not getting rewards They grow fruits and vegetables and they're even not getting cost of growing fruits and vegetables. It's same we are eating Traders selling high value in markets Middle people looting farmers money Why government not thinking to fix that problem? Where is the infrastructure for farmers? There is no control on prices Lots of easyway to solve problems But governments not looking

Like Motor insurance is compulsory, Insuring crops should be made compulsory, farmers should be trained to diversify risk of weather by joining farming with dairy.
