As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

..........This fund can be raise by collecting 10-20% of farmers share. By the help of such taxes rich farmers will not apply for gov salary for farmers even after 5% of their share as taxes. Thus only needy and poor farmers will apply for this gov salary and it will not put any financial burden on gov. Main aim of this policy that whatever the gov get from farmers in the name of taxes, it should be return to farmers only.

Dear sir, Every farmer wants to feel to be a part of gov and they are not alone. For this gov should provide salary to farmers (i.e. 4-5 thousand rupees to a farmer family of 3-5 members) and it will reduce farmers death due to poverty. In india 2/3 polulation are engaged in agriculture which is about 100 crore. It means 20-25 crore farmers family engaged in agriculture and gov should pay (5000x20 crore = 1 lakh crore per month) for this salary. .............

I would like to suggest government my Green Banking concept. Govt.should take controls on farming & give them regular income to the owner of farm. Farmers who are unable to fight against natural disasters due to their low financial condition. By heavy & untimely rain distroy their crop & then their as well as our nation's efforts, time, money are wasted. If Govt. takes all controls then funds are utilized, we all earn more. Using these funds borewell, roofshadding, fencing to protect from animal

I would like to suggest to the government to encourage the farmers to form FARM co-operative by unitizing their farm and combining farm of particular area having similar farming pattern. By unitizing, I mean that the area a farmer holding should be converted into square feet or square meter basis and equivalent unit (share) can be issued to the farmer concerned. They should share the profit or loss according the share/unit they hold. The farmer from the particular area can earn by working in his
