Sir, Please ask to use Canal potable water for drinking purposes after proper treatment if required and use domestic discharge from urban cities for ferti-irrigation/gardening to protect soil from erosion and convert barren land into fertile land. If adopted on top priority, you can give healthy and wealthy life to all countrymen with less efforts/ time. Your team has to monitor the progress on day to day basis by heir and fire techniques as private enterprnures used to do.

I like Suchitra Raghavachari's idea to encourage school students to understand agriculture as a science, art and management theme. Perhaps on the lines of NCC, NSS credit points to students may be provided for those that take up summer / spring projects.

Isn't there a possibility to learn from other success stories within India and from across the world in terms of rural livelihood security? How about adapting the Amul experience to other forms of agricultural and rural enterprises? As for managing sustainability, appropriate local models of incentivisation will do the trick - let's remember that small is beautiful and sustainable and collaboration between small entities needs to be smartly encouraged.

The most important point that I would like to share is to stop cutting trees for production of Paper.....In fact on war footing all Central Government Offices throughout India should go "Paperless Office"....All Printed Material should now be in Digital Format right from Newspapers, Magazines, Annual Reports of Companies, Newsletters, etc etc.All forms of Digital Formats should be used so as to bring down consumption of Paper in all spheres thus saving TREES and in return saving our environment

Harvest crop wastes and also dead wood ,twigs, leaves and use as fuel for power generation and small scale food processing( baking, making snacks. Will save fossil fuels and increase local income in rural areas.Encourage small animal(goats, sheep)and poultry using local breeds and only farm watses and grasses as food inputs. Will result in organic food with higher value.

PM plant more native trees on the highways according to the nature of the environment.
Also plant banyan trees in every village or in every schools and colleges
Its our national tree but younger generations are not aware of it
