As the Indian population continues to grow there will be an immense competition for natural resources while achieving food, nutritional, environmental and livelihood security in the country. In addition, the negative consequences of climate change become more evident in agriculture with exploitation of natural resources, decline in soil fertility, ground water levels to meet the ever increasing demands for food and nutritional requirements. To maintain sustainable balance between natural resources and the demand, immediate attention is needed in several areas viz., imbalanced use of fertilizers, declining soil organic carbon, lowering of water table, soil health, organic farming and climate change impact in agriculture sector.

Recent studies on soil biodiversity, rapid composting techniques, use of bio-filters for removal of heavy metals from compost, application of Nano sensors in agriculture to improve nutrient use efficiency, need based fortification of micro nutrients; availability of soil health card, conservation agriculture for enhancing soil health etc. will support sustainable management of natural resources in agriculture.

With a particular focus on scientific and technical understanding of natural resources management, this portal tries to incorporate stakeholders suggestions in achieving sustainable natural resources management.

GREEN INDIA: Pollution in Delhi has become an international news. Some suggestions: Clean petrol for vehicles.Make petrol more expensive to discourage its use..Make emission control checks compulsory for 6 years and older vehicles. Plant trees on regular basis where needed. Overall city cleanliness drive. Strict controls on environment polluting industries. If possible, relocate them. Stop burning coal as source of energy. Active drive for use of Metro to reduce no. of vehicles on roads.

Dear it's wise to open & made public the details of common minimum programmes finalised with PDP to make a coalition government of J&K. Before meeting PM Modiji it should be clearly and categorically finalised. Other wise there is posibility of making a false propaganda war as Modi is anti muslim or anti Kashmir. They should publicly accept and agreed to all the points made public. Otherwise, they may make mayhem by rejecting the govt. formation by saying Modi as anti Muslim/ Anti Kashmir.

Hon'le sir, I would like to bring I to your kind notice, that we running with a very dangerous situation in concern to environment. I suggest govt. can make rule in transport system specially in Delhi and other metro cities. The rule is such a type that on public holiday ie on sunday people can't take our their Cars or byks until it is fully occupied as per the number of seats availabletransport vehicles. This can be adopted on any or every Sunday or alternate or only once in a month.

Multi level farming can provide the mid way between land requirement for industries and farming. technology such as plant grow led lights & micro controller based room environment sensors have made this easy and affordable. Farmer can have equal size of the land and will be able to control the soil quality, effectively prevent pests, animals, insects. also a park of such buildings will also help them to provide the necessary services easily such as, road, transport, cold storage & market access.

water harvesting , proper draining system in rural areas, safety of cattle , more plantation in public areas like road side, panchayats, schools, hospitals etc. solar energy system can help in achieving the goal. govt should spread the awareness of solar system. govt should talk with people that financially able person should install the solar system in their houses, offices and farmhouses and unabled person should be subsidized by govt.
