Existence of insanitary latrines is the root cause of manual scavenging. As per the ‘Houselisting and Housing Census Data, 2011’, there were about 26 lakh insanitary latrines in the country in 2011. All existing insanitary latrines need to be identified and either demolished or converted into sanitary latrines under the provisions of the MS Act.

What innovations can be used to convert insanitary latrines into sanitary latrines in shortest possible time?

this is for reducing safety hazard on highways. there are shrubs at every official cut on highways which impairs the vision of the traffic coming from the opposite side resulting in the possibility of accidents. i suggest that there shud be no shrubs for at least 30/40 mtrs on the dividers at the cut.

sir ,as the insanitary latrines are the cause of disease so to make india claen they must be converted into the bio toilets and latrings. according to me the method will be to take volinter for this campaign and it is used in a dump where a dung is also colleted and it should be used into bio gas plant.

IN PUNJAB 49% (IT IS SO SAID) ARE HINDU BUT EVEN 10% HINDUS ARE NOT IN POLICE. IT ONLY DUE TO THE REASON THAT PROCEEDURE IS NOT APPARENT/CLEAR TO THE PUBLIC.SIR, IT IS MY SUGGESTION THAT THERE SHOULD BE WRITTEN EXAM AT INITIAL LEVEL AND ALL CASTS INCLUDING BRAHMIN AND AGGARWALS AND OTHERS CAST SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO POLICE. AS AND WHEN THE POLICE MAN SEES THAT THIS PERTICULAR PERSON IS BANIA THEY STARTS DEMANDING BRIBE. WE DONOT HAVE ANY EVIDENCE THOUGH IT IS WELL KNOWN IN PUBLIC. SIR PLEASE DO.

REVERED SIR, POLICE RECRUITMENT SHOULD BE AT CENTRE LEVEL BY TAKING WRITTEN EXAMS NOT BY THE STATE AND BY POLICE SPs. THIS IS THE ONLY AND FIRST STEP WAY TO START CURRUPTION IN POLICE DEPARTMENT. BECAUSE A PERSON WHO HIMSELF HAS GIVEN BRIBE FOR SELECTION CAN NAVER BE THE HONEST EMPLOYEE. IN MOST OF THE CASES THE POLICEMAN GET HIS/HER APPOINTMENT BY GIVING BRIBE. MOREOVER WHY IT IS SO THAT IN HARYANA MAXIMUM OF JATS ARE IN POLICE AND IN PUNJAB MAXIMUM OF SICKS ARE IN POLICE.

yaha hume kuch seva santha ya fir Self help group ki madat leni padegi aur unhe shahar k hisab se tender dena hoga aur unhe yeh authority bhi deni hogi k voh log Rs.50 se Rs.100 tak ki Pavati faad sakate hai yadi koi kachara faylate huye nazar aaye tohi. Aur unhe Indian police ka support rahega agar koi fees pay karne se inkar kare to . Isase Self help group ko sarkar se rojgar aur madat mil jayegi aur vo log bhi man laga kar kaam karenge ! Aisa muze Lagata hai !

1. Increase awareness about disadvantages of dry-insanitary latrines. 2. Information on dangers of disease spread-unhygienic conditions & promoting cleanliness as a habit. 3. Promoting use of of sanitary latrines, ensuring market availability at affordable prices and easier to maintain viz a vis dry latrines. 4. Penalty for discouraging dry latrines. 5. Promoting socially in villages by panchayat mechanism 6. Water connection to every household without which sanitary latrines cannot work.
