A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

for ex: I have connection of Indane gas, and including subsidy it comes to 630/- but the delivery boy says since I stay on 4th floor, either he will not deliver cylinder or I need to pay him extra money. So either I drive back from office to home whenever they come to deliver cylinder or I should go to agency to complain about the delivery boy every time as agency had never answered the call even a single time. Last 2 cylinder I took, costed me 500/- excluding subsidy. And when I went to agency

Dear Sir, Not sure whether this message is reaching to you or not. And i agree with your statement government spent heavy amount of money on subsidized products. I am IT professional and I do not find a single reason to give up subsidy. I believe it is approx 200/- per cylinder. Being a responsible citizen, I have paid tax every where demanded by govt. but never got any the facility in return. For small things only we get huge pressure that feels like govt is doing nothing for us. for ex: I have

Once we give up subsidy, there is NO way to get it back. If we introduce time factor, ppl giving up the subsidy will increase 10 fold. Ex. I am doing well this year, but not certain what will be the condition next year or after 2-3 yrs . So I need a facility whr I can select a time frame for which I wish to give up the subsidy. It can be in multiples of 1 or 2 years. So if I give up subsidy for 1 year, After 1 year I will get back the subsidy automatically.

Dear Modiji,Myself Deepak Dewan is Private LPG distributor from Kolhapur(Maharastra).Non subsidized domestic cylinders are heavily in black market for commercial purpose. April-July 2015 quarter had recorded 35% growth on consumption of these domestic cylinders. Non subsidized domestic cylinders have 3% VAT against 12% on commercial LPG i.e.Rs. 66/- per 14.2 KG cylinder is our Net loss.Plz
