A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

Sir,9 subsidy cylinder is enough for all.If any customer needs extra three cylinders, then he should be given only 100 rupees subsidy instead of 234 rupees for the extra three cylinders. But before starting this kind of plan you should stop black marketing of the distributor because they are delivering only 8 or 9 cylinders to most of the customers every year till now.Our distributor is delivering lpg cylinder after a gap of 35 or 40 days.

We can avoid misuse of Subsidy LPG by availing non subsidy LPG in less quantity like 2kg,5kg etc.people ma y not misuse subsidy cylinders if Govt permitt LPS cylinders filling bunks in private organization at every mandal. If Govt grants permission Iam ready to establish an LPG Bunk with my own expenditure. We will fill as per their need like 2kg,5kg etc..If this project get success we can implement it all over India.

Sir, somehow tie the LPG connection with economic status and income in the family. Formulate a law that people below a certain income can only avail LPG subsidy. Widen the tax net and make every citizen of this country to file income tax. setup help centers for people who are uneducated or who needs help. make sure the centers are professionally run without any agents or touts. simplify tax filing to an extent that a lay man can file it easily. just a thought.
