Waste management is an important requirement for ecologically sustainable development. Efficient sorting of waste is a major issue in today’s society. The main goals of this discussion are to come up with solutions for the following problems using technology as a tool.

1) Reducing waste production
2) Ensuring that wastes are properly disposed
3) Recycling and re-using disposed products

“Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” or the "Clean India Mission" is India's biggest cleanliness campaign that aims to accomplish the vision of "Clean India". Waste management is an integral part of this campaign. To assist the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” initiative, projects may be setup to create products which are solar-powered trash receptacle and trash compactor that alerts sanitation crews of municipal authorities, when it is full.

Also E-Waste (obsolete, discarded, broken and surplus electrical and electronic devices) is of immediate and long term concern as the industry is unregulated and recycling can lead to major environmental degradation posing a major threat to human health.

Internet of Things (IoT) is a new generation technology which allows integration of small devices/gadgets with web based system .The devices send signals through sensors using constraint application protocol (CoAP), Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) etc. and interact with the web-based system using the HTTP protocol, So the existing solution architectures are getting extended.

We would like to welcome your ideas on how a smart waste management system using IoT can be implemented in order to achieve the target of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”.

In my opinion waste should be categorised in 3 type, like 1. Renewable 2. As Food, (for animals) and 3. Wastage (which doesn't belong from above 2 types) And with the help of advertisement, we can start this division of wastage at very primary stage, As we can convince our people to do this at the time of throwing wastage, and for this they can use three bucket ( for different type of wastage's. And for this government should reward people (for promoting this initiative) that may help.

Waste Plastic can be used in construction of Plastic roads, where it helps to increase the strength of the road and provides an Eco-friendly way of disposal of plastic. Our Indian Scientist has got Patent for using this technology and its free of cost for Indian, so it should be widely used.

We can use the combustible waste to generate heat by burning them and from that heat we shall to generate the electricity. By encouraging such power generation plants from waste, near all the cities, it shall help the waste management of the respective cities and also the power shortage issues can be reduced to an extent.

Give a open prize challenge of Rs 2 Cr to anyone who can design and patent a machine that will efficiently separate , plastics, organic waste, glass and metal from mixed waste. Ideally this machine should be of 1 ton per day capacity equal to 250 families waste generation. The winning design should be patented and commercialized by anyone who will pay designer royalty as per international norm.

I find European Waste Management System very good especially Germany's. we can start by getting every one educated from little children to adults that it is our nation and It is our responsibility to keep from our house to our streets to our localities to our city and so on.. and then implement European waste management. and get Rid of corruption so that everyone understands their duty without taking bribe.also make it illegal to put temples at the junctions or the main roads that's huge scam.

Dear Respected prime minister, i want to express my idea on stray cattle problem mainly in metro cities .  I want to suggest that specially  in gaushalas they become self reliant . we know a lot of accidents  happen on roads due to these stray cattle.  if electricity  is produced  by wind ,water etc. . So why not bulls cannot  be used in these rotator. by this gaushalas evenly sell electricity  . Solar panels are also used in gaushalas  for producing electricity. thank you sir .
