The polythene bags should be banned as they are nondegradable and spoil the soil.Enforcement of these principles will definitely clean the environment and a move forward towards Smart city and villeges too.

The segregation of household waste should be at housewife or maidservant level, for which they should be educated through TV aids or documetaries and mass education. The eatable waste like peels of vegetable or fruits which are biodegradable, should be packed in black bags. The glass waste should be packed in different coloured bags the plastic items should be in blue coloured bags.Potentially health hazardous material like meat ,bones, blood soaked clothes in yellow colored bags.

We at Greenpaisa.com are dedicated towards creating a cleaner India. We provide free door step scrap collection services. The most important aspect in waste management is separation of different types of waste at source. This not only reduces the amount of recyclable waste that ends up in landfill but will also reduce transportation cost of govt.
Secondly, there is a lack of infrastructure for proper treatment of waste. Smart bins with sensors can be installed at specified locations.

It is definitively an important aspect of PM'S flagship programme.Swaccha Bharat mission. The smart waste management should be at every level, household level, industrial level, collection level, municipal level and finally at disposal site. The site should be specified in the outskirts of city or villege.

Waste management is a important issue to the success of Swacha Bharath Andolan.
I would like to make one suggestion for the govt for Swacha Bharath.
Swacha Bharath is a great initiative. But the problem is there are no sufficient dustbins present on road in cities like Bangalore. So i would like t ask govt to keep dustbins for every 50 to 100 meters and these must be emptied daily. This will make people to use throw the waste in dustbins instead of on roadside.

There is a need for a visible mechanism for collecting electronic waste, such as discarded mobile phones, used cartridges, computers, other gadgets that are just thrown in the dust bin. Authorities must come out with a local level collection centre that ensures collection &safe disposal of e-waste. A lot of e-waste contains harmful components as lead, mercury, therefore just discarding is not enough, it must be safely disposed, whatever possible shud be recycled for further use as raw materials.

Only aftr d waste is properly segregated shud it b dumped in landfill sites. Such a practice will
1. reduce d volume of waste dumped in landfill sites,
2. provide recovery of glass, metal & d likes, which can b further used as raw materials 4 other uses.Waste mngmnt is a cyclical process, which once estbd will work on auto pilot. A scientific waste management sys is esp. relevant 4 d Smart Cities that have an opportunity 2 set up a systematic waste management system as d cities become smart.
