Now time has come to stop production of normal tap i.e. gate valves/bibcocks and instead use push button tap.It is very normal practice in house to open tap for filling bucket and forget to close tap.

My suggestion is to Insist on as many people/flats/organisations as possible /Especially new flats to use BATH water for toilet flushing, using water filters in between. That means bath water/or clothes washing water can be filtered in Sand filters and Carbon filters and control the pH (at 7) and use it for flushing the toilets. Every one has to provide separate tank and lines to Toilet flush to use used water instead of fresh water. This reduces the consumption of pure drinking water for flush

The ongoing drought crisis in Maharashtra can be mitigated by diverting the water from the Koyna hydro electrica power project back to the Krishna Basin. It had been a well known fact that due to rain shadow area the eastern part of Maharashtra receives less rainfall, the koyna project when anticipated in the 1960s involve the transfer of water from east flwing Krishna to Araiabian sea, as a result almost 4000 cumecs of fresh water get drained into sea. -Let's make Drinking water available free for all by installing RO water dispenser and people can fill their bottle for fee. Will save environment by using lesser number of plastic bottles.
-Bring more awareness among kids, parents and everyone of us on how to use water wisely. So that we all know the importance of water. We can run monthly campaign " Consume lesser and essential water on that day".
-Water conservation can be included in the school curriculum.

Respected Prime Minister, Namashkar.I see water crisis as a BIGGEST challenge in future.i feel we need to start Desalination plants in all coastal states n use this water for household purposes, initially in coastal cities n towns n later we can take this water to interior cities through canals or pipes, thus saving river water for agriculture and drinking.good reservoir water levels also improve underground water levels. Countries like UAE r using this water even for drinking.plzz consider
