Focus on technology to stop water wastage. Then recycling the available water presently overflowing in river Ganga. Eradicate Corruption by minimizing human intervention & using machines in laying pipelines. With upgraded technology to sense leakages & repair them instantly. Lastly, the highest in authority should have the willingness to save Water, only then same shall prevail in subordinates under Ministry to last level professional of the department in the field through her/his Deeds.

Apart from Dam and rivers I want to suggest following points:
1. Indian Government must bound all builders to build their project with Rain Water Harvesting system so that we can save water and reuse them as per our need.
2. Indian Government should make a rule and regulation for Real Estate and force them to implement that.

Rivers and dams should be conserved by strict rules and awareness of common people. Technology must be introduced. Strict rules should be made for factories for dumping chemical waste in water. Every state must understand this issue. Scarcity of water is a matter of concern. Smart way is that at any cost all the rivers must be interconnected. Program must be launched to enrich ground water.

Hi,
I want to share Regarding the ALMOST ALL DAMS PUNARBHARAN पुनर्भरण those whose level goes upto deadstock
This is VIKAS if Govt does the excavation in DAMS whose level goes upto deadstock & take out soil from it,will helpful for agricultural purpose also we can have benefit of large level of water storage in coming monsoon so we can somehow relief from water cut..
Govt don't have to supply water to people's by tanker & thereby saving of cost...
PLZ implement this scheme as soon ASAP...

Give us a very simple APP so that as soon as we see some leakage it can be reported immediately. Leakage is greatly dangerous only when remains unreported and unattended.

Instead of all these, prime priority should be given to enrichment of ground water. This can be easily done with 'rain water syringe technology'. A national agency should be created for the same. here is the reference http://nif.org.in/upload/innovation/5th/53-rain-water-syringe.pdf . http://teca.fao.org/technology/rainwater-syringe-low-cost-technology-rainwater-harvesting-coastal-areas . More research has to be done in this for the perfect utilization of rain water.

Need a long term policy with futuristic view. Am developing a model called RLDL. Same to address water pollution as well as drinking water problem for all of India. Its ready for implementation in smart cities as well. This will be a true smart water project. 2 Imp points to highlight this time-1.recharging our ground water resources with non polluted water to avoid desertification.2.Completely stopping above ground water pollution and safe disposal of same thus providing clean water to all.

As per my view main reasons are deforestation and lack of maintaining water bodies and unplanned approval for building. I agree we need new buildings but when more people accumulated in a place more resolution will be needed. Many water bodies are not cleaned. If cleaned can be used for drinking. More concrete buildings more heat generates. All the way we are taking roads or concreting, by this all the water flow out nd not getting to ground.using something like lawn blocks water get grounded

openwater.in a spin off from IISc Banaglore and a made in India technology that can covert sewage water to drinking water can make all our homes, office, gardens self sustained with water. All it needs is the visibility and investment to take it to the next level to get drinking water at a location where bad water exists.
