Every Housing Society, Apartment has to come up with Rainwater harvesting & waste water management, it can take some burden from Municipal Corporation. The recycled waste water can be used for flush etc. Govt or Corporation can offer some tax benefits who implement this.

The usage of water in car, 2 wheeler washing centres should be controlled and legalised too. Lots of water is wasted in local washing centres for which they are not charged. The Government should initiate stringent measures and execute it too. In max cases potable water is used for washing cars. Water meters should be fitted and boring water should also be taxed in order to control the depletion of underground water table. Can be worked with strict water control measures and severe penalty.

All the high rise buildings in the country be it in the village or town or corporation should adopt rainwater harvesting mechanism, The government should made it mandatory. Without that the electricity supply should be removed. The building may have any number of floors. This should be mandatory for the buildings constructed in the past.
