Energy generation is the main issue in India. Energy is moving an object against gravity or inertia. Indian railways are moving across the nation in very remote areas. So why cannot this energy be used to electrify villages rather than putting load on coal or water resources to generate electricity.

Following can be considered to increase non-fare revenue for IR
Increasing the existing tracks from 2 to 4 will create more employment opportunities.
The new additional tracks can be designed for high speed trains, which can be used for passenger and express trains, which will not only reduce the travel time but also increases the comfort for passengers.
Additional tracks can be utilized for freight carriage which is delayed due to more and more traffic of the passenger and express trains.

All along the track IR should plant shade giving trees. This can not only help environment but also reduce AC usage in trains due to the shade.

Sir,
Please utilize the space giving it for rent to corporates or building office spaces in metro city stations.
Kindly reduce the travel time on long distance train so that more services can be run that root.
Improve the infrastructure for long distance train instead of now it is taking 36 hours to 40 hours in some places reduce it to 24 hours of journey.
Introduce the smart card for season ticket than printing every time and it can save consumables like ink , printer, stationery.
