Respected Madam,
To promote efficiency let us try to revoke reservations completely from all spheres of this country. I know politically this will be tough for any government to implement still find out ways to promote merit. If still reservations have to be in place let us base it on economic criteria than on cast/sub cast basis. I am confident promoting a merit culture will take our country to greater heights in the years to come.

In respect of 8% Savings (Taxable) Bonds, 2003 issued by the Reserve Bank of India, the income tax on interest accrued on bonds is deducted by RBI at the maturity date. The income tax payer is disclosing the accrued interest on financial year basis without considering the Tax deducted at source. There is mismatch by the RBI and the Income tax payer on the accrual of interest income. RBI should deduct income tax at source on interest accrued in each financial year on taxable bonds.

Problem: Majority of local masons, plumbers, electricians, wire men etc are doing their jobs without any professional knowledge. Since lack of practical knowledge, they unknowingly misuse their resources and thus end up with financial losses to the owner of the building and national waste. Eg: Local masons don't know exact ratio of cement and sand.
Suggestion: Allot fund to provide weekly once training by experts in respective fields.
Benefit: Local workmen become experts. No national waste.

Dear Finance Minister,
Congratulations to your new role and definitely a greater responsibility. I would like to request have more banking opportunities for poor people with no charges and very low minimum balance. We should curb the greediness of the banks including private banks to help the poors and encourage them to have more accounts.
Thanks and Namaskar,
Pranab Mitra

Dear Finance Minister,
Congratulations to your new role and definitely a greater responsibility. I would like to request to allocate some money in budget ( as well via education ministry) to teach and to nurture Sanskrit education (in school) as well in research. It has been neglected a lot. I am currently in USA after my PHD. I still remember of studying Sanskrit in Grade 5-8, I would like to have a slogan "BRING BACK SANSKRIT WITH RESPECT".
Thanks and Namaskar,
Pranab Mitra

a common KYC for all banks like mutual fund will be helpful, Once created lining aadar/pan/phone no/passport no. and address proof, banks/financial institution need not ask for documents again and again.Senior citizens find it very difficult . Banks can check the KYC and proceed. More safe and repetition is avoided.
