In order to make the Union Budget-making process participative and inclusive, the Ministry of Finance has sought inputs from citizens for the last several years. This year too, the Ministry looks forward to hearing from you on your suggestions for the Union Budget which will be presented in the Parliament in the upcoming session.

Citizens from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of this democratic exercise. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th June 2019.

Following are suggestions: 1. Increase 80C limits to 3 lacs 2. Bring LTA under standard deduction 3. Increase entertainment tax 4. Reduce budget to govt hospitals and give amount to people directly into jan dhan account. 5. Give more benefits to people who have 2 child in terms of personal tax or incentives. 6. Give all subsidy thru DBT 7. Control education expense of institutions to make affordable to everybody.

My suggestions ◆ Please provide sustainable menstrual products (cloth pads and menstrual cups)to women in rural areas and stop distributing sanitary pads and harmful incenerators. ◆ Provide SUBSIDY to manufacturers of eco friendly products (composters, brickettes, organic disposables) Reduce GST to 5% on eco friendly prroducts

- Please come with better financial plans for retired people which includes all regardless of where they are working either in government sector or private sector, either in organized sector or unorganized sector. Make better financial plan so old age/retired people can live with better financial safety.
