Need for NetBanking has become imminent. But this requires Username and Password to access it. If somehow, Password is forgotten or Account is Locked (being Dormant), to reset or unlock from such situation, the Account holder needs to have ATM/Debit Card along with PIN. For many Account holders, they don't have ATM/Debit Card. The reason being either when they had opened their accounts esp. until 1990s, ATM/Debit Cards were not issued, or many don't opt for Debit/ATM Card while opening their accounts. To resolve this situation, the only option for the customer is to visit the Home Branch and apply for the ATM/Debit Card. The proposal is to let the Banks issue Virtual Debit/ATM Cards online which can be done thru eKYC without even the customer visiting the Branch. There are many Banks which already have the technology setup to open Digital Account thru eKYC. Some are even able to issue Virtual Debit/ATM Card. The customers familiar with computer, can then manage their account online.

We (“ESOP Direct”) are a leading consulting company in the field of ESOPs since 1999. On the basis of our observation and with reference to Central Government’s endeavor for promoting Ease of Doing Business with due consideration of Global Practices, we would like to make following suggestions for reforms in respect of taxation of ESOPs: (a) Clarity as to claim of ESOP cost by the Companies as per Biocon Judgment will bring-in much predictability and shall also promote broad based employee-ownership in India. (b) Widening of the definition of an eligible Start-up shall be very conducive and will create a level playing field amongst all companies newly set-up on or after April 01, 2016 (c) Deferment of taxation of ESOPs till sell of shares in case of Start-ups for achievement of real objective of tax deferment. Also please refer to our detailed Memorandum on the subject matter emailed to Hon'ble Finance Minister on Jan 07, 2022.

There is a need to make budgetary investments in health as well as education. Education is the right of everyone and education needs to be extended to rural areas. For this, the government should implement special programs. By investing more in the health sector, health care needs to be made better and more conducive to every equal person.
