Policy Proposal to impose 50% Tarrif on Revenue shares earned from Social Media Government of India Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) NITI Aayog Ministry of Finance Why our human resource should work free of cost for reels, shorts, & videos for Facebook, Youtube and these companies earn from these feeds via ads while only 3-5% people able to earn or monetize. India should impose 50% revenue shares from ads to tackle unilateral tarrif imposed on us by USA. These are golden opportunity to fight them back via different strategies.

Here are the 3 key reforms the crypto sector is pushing for to boost compliance, stop offshore migration, and keep India as a global crypto leader:Slash TDS to 0.01% (from current 1%) Uniform low rate across exchanges reduces friction, lowers compliance costs, brings users back to regulated Indian platforms, and maintains full transaction visibility for the government. Shift 30% flat capital gains tax to progressive income slabs Current flat rate is unfair — a low-income earner (e.g., ₹50k/month) pays the same as the ultra-rich. Aligning with slabs promotes tax equity, encourages legitimate wealth creation, and shows fairness. Allow loss offsetting Let investors offset crypto losses against other income/gains — a standard global practice. The current no-loss-set-off rule creates unfair treatment vs. stocks/other assets and discourages participation. These changes would drive more compliance

I request the government to please allow loss set-off, introduce fair capital gains tax slabs, and reduce TDS to encourage genuine participation. Clear and friendly regulations will attract foreign investors, strengthen India’s Web3 ecosystem, and create thousands of jobs. India has immense potential to become a global Web3 hub. With supportive policies and transparent taxation, we can retain talent, attract international investment, and boost innovation. Kindly consider these reforms in the national interest.

I humbly request the Government of India to kindly reconsider and reform the current crypto taxation framework in the upcoming Union Budget. The existing 30% flat tax and 1% TDS have significantly reduced trading volumes and pushed many Indian Web3 entrepreneurs to operate outside the country. Kindly consider these reforms in the national interest

Introduce a clear regulatory and taxation framework for crypto assets by recognizing them as digital assets (not currency), rationalizing the 30% tax and 1% TDS, licensing Indian crypto exchanges under SEBI oversight, allowing loss set-off, and promoting blockchain innovation through a national Web3 sandbox. This will increase compliance, protect investors, boost government revenue, and position India as a global leader in blockchain technology.

Ceiling on PPF, EPF non-taxable limits are lagging with respect to lowest taxable bracket under the new tax regime. For the future generations, the only way to beat inflation seems to be market linked investment. While a gradual push in this direction is fine, there is a need to raise the ceiling on PPF, EPF (non-taxable) and NPS to 25% of 12 Lakh(post rebate) tax slab.
