श्रीमान जी, मैं हिमाचल की निवासी हूं अतः मैं यहां के कठिन भूभाग के संदर्भ में अपना मत रखूंगी । मेरे क्षेत्र में सूखी व पथरीली भूमि, पानी की न्यूनता झेलती है। योग्य भूमि होने पर भी लोगों के खेत खाली रह जाते हैं। यदि खेती कर भी ली जाए तो जंगली जानवर जैसे मोर, बंदर, तीतर, गीदड़, सूअर पूरी तरह फसल को बर्बाद कर देते हैं। ऐसे क्षेत्र में ऐसी फसलें उगाई जाए जो पानी की न्यूनता और प्रतिकूल वातावरण को सह सकें जैसे तिलहन (अलसी) इत्यादि और जो कीटनाशक व छोटे जानवरों के लिए भी अप्रिय हों। इसके लिए सरकार का सहयोग वांछनीय है। कृषकों को ऐसी कृषि के लिए प्रेरित करने के लिए कैंपस लगाए जाएं जहां उन्हें कृषि के आधुनिक तरीकों व नैनो यूरिया टेक्नोलॉजी से अवगत करवाया जाए व अच्छी प्रजाति के बीज उपलब्ध कराए जाएं ताकि इस कठिन भूभाग में जीवन यापन के लिए कठिनाइयां कुछ कम हों।
