The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) was notified as an overarching skills regulator on 5th December 2018 vide notification No. SD-17/113/2017-E&PW. The NCVET is responsible for regulating the functioning of entities engaged in vocational education and training, both long & short-term, and establish minimum standards for the functioning of such entities.

NCVET has also been mandated to carry out following functions pertaining to grievance redressal:
a. Provide redressal to aggrieved person (s) against any listed grievances relating to the functioning of the recognized bodies under the aegis of the NCVET.
b. Require recognized bodies to redress grievances of their respective aggrieved person(s), and providing commensurate remedial actions, including any penalty(s).

It intends to provide clarity on end-to-end processes of the grievance redressal mechanism. The guidelines also aim to describe the expected / possible outcomes of the grievance redressal.

Sir's Skill development may not be always a clear choice for candidates to pursue their job carrier. this support must be given to the right candidates. most of the time a mass of people gets into the system without their original choice , but their situation. so there must a clear filtration process in identifying the right candidates who can be uplifted by way of skill development. untill this happens , the support expected by the industry becomes zero..

Since NCVET is proposed to be set up through merger of two existing bodies, the existing infrastructure and resources will be utilized for the most part. The NCVT was a regulator and assessment body of the long-term skill education space, while the NSDA was a policy formulating body of the skill development ministry helping it devise training and industry collaboration policy for the Skill India mission.

The primary role of NSDA has been to anchor and operationalize the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) to ensure that quality and standards meet sector specific requirements.

Quality control has been a constant worry for the skill development sector in India with the mushrooming of skill schools across India. Though Skill India had been a talking point for the government over the last few years, there has hardly been any quality assessment or monitoring of the sector, essential to the supply of efficient manpower to industries
