As per the recommendations made in NEP 2020, a set of standards has been developed to ensure that all students at all levels of school education are taught by passionate, motivated, highly qualified, professionally trained, and well-equipped teachers. National Professional Standard for Teachers(NPST) would help in determining the attributes of the teachers at different levels of career pathways. In addition to this, NPST focuses on preparations, practice and performance improvement of all teachers. The standards and related policies are in line with the fundamental principles given in the NEP 2020 to provide high quality education to all. NCTE was mandated by the Ministry to formulate a guiding document and platform for operationalizing NPST.

National Professional Standard for Teachers (NPST) will monitor the design of pre-service teacher education program. This could be then adopted by states and determine all aspects of teacher career management, including tenure, professional development efforts, salary increases, promotions, and other recognitions.

In this regard, a draft document on NPST has been developed by NCTE after incorporating ideas and suggestions received from experts of various domains. The draft document has been released on November 17, 2021 to invite the suggestions and feedback from all stakeholders.

Teaching is a dynamic and rewarding profession. Good teachers provide students with rich, interesting and well-structured learning experiences. Teachers who provide these experiences enjoy the opportunities offered by the profession and recognition of their achievements by the community.

Students forced to come school in dress code. But teachers and principles are allowed to dress what ever they want to dress. This create wrong impression in the mind of students. So I want teachers and principal and school staff and school vehicle drivers should also follow same dress code of students.

Honourable P.M. I request the salary should be paid by the government of private/public school teachers as the schools are giving the salary to show the govt. But they take it back. The government should ask to pay the salary amount to govt. And the govt should pay the salary directly to the teachers account. Thanks and regards

Honourable PM sir... 1)My opinion is a Teacher should be like walking encyclopedia.... As humans it's natural that we will not be aware of many things but the actual work of teacher is to search for the information what students need and then deliver them that information.... 2) A teacher should teach every aspect in a practical manner so that students better understand it and never forget it.... 3) Using the new technology teaching should be done using video clips and more....

Further, the fear is that this NEP-2020 should not follow the way of Farmers' Law which failed to reach the last Farmer. It was because of Govt's failure to make the farmers to understand the Law and not because of the Law. So as, NEP-2020 is to be reached to the last Teacher and Last Student within a time frame.

Why Every College/Institution/University should not organize a compulsory Seminar/Workshop/Conference about New National Education Policy-2020 so that all the Teachers/Heads/Academicians would know deeply about NEP-2020. Due to lack of knowledge about this (NEP-2020), even after a year and half, still Several Hundreds of Colleges/Universities haven't adopted the Policy. Even the Student community is unaware about the scope of this Policy. So, this could be possible if explained in the Seminar.

Creative person should appoint as teacher. Poetry, lyrics, painting, writer, designer, musician, singer, dancer.... A Creative person has special insight in mind. Creative person act differently. They are sensitive, supportive and relax. Those person who do not have Creative instinct should reject in selection of a teacher.

Hon'ble P.M sir In my opinion Dress code for Teachers is very important, like children dress code. It gives special appearance and identification for teachers and by wearing such dress code, they will not misuse their time out side and it will be helpful to every one ,to identify easily their teachers any where. it is my opinion only.
