During the year 2015-16, India spent Rs.4.82 lakh crores on imports to fulfill domestic demand. To reduce the import burden, and also to work towards to a greener environment, it is proposed to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

Citizens are invited to suggest ways for encouraging and motivating the masses to avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day, every week.

Sir first and foremost thing we need dedicated tracks for cycles, given our poor maintenance of foot paths even in metropolitan cities, focus should be on this and it may go long way. 2. Bureaucrats and politicians should be the first change agents in leading from front row. 3. Sir we need efficient public transport system which is sustainable, predictable n easily accessible. 4.only u can call for mass voluntary participation sir ,like u did for LPG gv up scheme sir..

Battery operated vehicles with solar powered charging stations installed at public locations might be a good solution. If the option of providing rental electric vehicles which can be dropped of at several locations are available. It could be successful in metropolitan cities. Cities can benefit a lot from providing cycling lanes (Which must be made without cutting trees)

We will soon get battery operated vehicles from the west soon. Now, battery operated two wheeler vehicles are in their initial stage and are gaining popularity slowly. Research is on to improve their efficiency with respect to speed and payload capacity. India should invest in similar research works as done by western nations and manufacture them at home. The mentioned battery two wheeler mopeds mentioned are western products only. Solar power is also another option.

Great Idea. Government should lead by example. All Government officials should travel by charter/government buses on that day.Ministers should pool staff cars. State Governments should provide efficient and excellent bus service for citizen along with metro etc. If need be make it compulsory after providing good and sufficient service. Those who will not attend office still, should loose that day's pay.

Its excellent Idea. We must stop use of personal petrol / diesel vehicle once in week and use public transport only. If it is particular day like Sunday or Saturday then we can see effect of reduction in pollution.

Respected prime minister modiji Greetings Happy to see government taking new initiatives and giving space for public to post their suggestions. My suggestions are 1. Two wheelers can be stopped at one point from where they can shift to public transport or they can go on sharing four wheelers. This will help in reducing two wheelers further reduce traffic congestion & encourage sharing. 2. Software can be developed and installed in all petrol bunk with minimum weekly uasage.if exceed charged

Namaskar Shri Narendra bhai modiji, Kindly have a plan to give a cycle to 6th class to degree students on Loan basis ie daily one rupee repayment basis. 15-17% population will fell happy and benefited in reaching our goal. Inculcate and practice the students through their college authorities to use cycle while coming to school/college, for that service roads are to be earmarked for cycle drive. Create infrastructure felicity and it will drive the public without any hurdle.

#MyGov #MPNG #PCRA Namaskar PradhanMantriji, It is of utmost importance that the number of vehicles on our roads be reduced to tackle pollution. I have a few suggestions to be considered. 1. Encourage use of electric cars by reducing taxes levied on them. 2. Every month of the year should have a day dedicated to encourage the masses to use public transport system and avoid use of personal carriers. 3. Launch a scheme to reward people who are prolific users of public transport.

I appreciate Govt for taking a good response in order to control pollution which is create lot of problems at later stage. In the 1st century, I have no any bike or motor car except only one Bicycle and I complete our all the works at home on leave for use bicycle. Hence, people should be understand to it.
