Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

All Mahatma Gandhi Roads (MG Roads) in the country should should stop using automobiles and only cycles / walking should be allowed. Only Ambulance or Fire fitting vehicles should be allowed. In all Cites MG Roads are big and cycling will be a pleasure and avoiding motor vehicles will reduce the parking burden, in most places MG Roads have parallel roads which can be used by motor vehicles.

Make good, timeliness, clean, and cost-effective public transportation. In India there is no other way to do this. By this way we can save lots of fuel, regain our currency value, and most important we can achieve this without any economy burden, cause proportionally it will effects on personal transportation cost, environment and our(public) saving money. I hope this is the most effective way to motivate people by effectiveness of public transportation rather than any marketing strategies.

Reducing petrol and diesel usage would be possible if people see more promise and convenience in public transport vs their own vehicle. I feel like providing govt run bicycle racks which rent out bicycles near bus-stops and railway stations or major public transport hubs would be great. Another great thing to start is to have easy access to different kinds of electric vehicles from public transport hubs. This should include electric unicycles, scooters, and cars.

cont...d) take ruthless actions against companies who import such items e) people dont buy electric cars due to lack of recharge point2)take actions against cheap imports and it may require ruthless persuit of them a) take action against under and over invoicing of imported items b) take ruthless action against importers who divert goods via third country for so that they can take advantage of FTA with India India is at inflection point where exisitng rules dont apply everyone is on their own.

every gov and corporate institutes should provide a bus for their employees , private schools should ban their students to use their personal vehicles to use for school to home drop down. cycle racing should promoted, so that young masses will attract for cycling. this must be a compulsory rule for all gov officials to use public transport at least one day a week.

cont...so to mitigate double whammy I have few ideas for government..1) reduce outward flow of dollars my making few things compulsary a) force car and bike manufacturers to make atleast 25% vehicles electric totally or hybrid b) install recharging points everywhere and PSU oil companies will have to take lead for this at its petrol pumps and allowing users chargeable recharges like china and USA c) ask all companies to buy this equipment domestically as it has become zero sum game international

My comment in this forum dosent come at more appropriate time then today as yesterday and today have been inflection point for india as whole especially in balance of payment area. Yesterday H1B visa issue blew up in Indias face and today US federal reserve comments states that end of year is correct time to shrink balance sheet of approx USD 4.5 trillion...first item will reduce flow of dollars to india second item will reverse flow of dollars from india in short time.....cont...
