Dear Sir,
I reside at Kandivali E, Mumbai. Everyday I travel to Churchgate from Kandivali by train.
I travel to station by 2 Wheeler, and go walking to my office.
Suggestions:
Improve the frequency of the BEST buses smartly.
Share an auto harassment has to be monitored.
I am not into a business of Cabs, but I think Ola, Uber, etc can be a good help, if people use such cabs instead of private cars.
Can think of an app like ola/uber for Autos.
Make Local Station user friendly. #MyGov

Government needs to improve public transport system in terms of connectivity and frequency. People use Lakhs of rupees on Car/Bike because they dont find government transport system efficient enough. Just making appeal will not help anyone. I have not sees single steps which give any kind of relief to common man, be it swatch bhart cess, Krishi Kalyan cess, etc.

1. Public transport should reach and depart at the exact time mentioned in their schedule so that people may reach at their destination at right time. Please see the bus operations in Riverside,California, USA.
2. Road should be safe for pedestrian and cyclist. In cities, roads should have separate & uninterpreted path for cycle. Path for cycle should be smooth, even skates over it can be used(Riverside). We may start it from one city like Delhi as a model.
3. Encroachment/parking

Dear Mr Prime Minister,
Will you please stop harassing the common man! First, the prices of lentil shit up, then we were made to stand in the line of aadhar card, then we were made to stand in the line of demonetization, now you want us to forgo using petrol for a day as very artfully you are forcing us to forgo gas subsidy by elaborate paper work. Why don't you plan some sacrifices for your self like you won't travel abroad for a year and for your rich industrialist friends for a change?

Large corporations employ thousands of people who commute to work place in their cars and bikes everyday. If the govt can create an incentive by a fuel subsidy / tax credit for people who are willing to car pool (both the provider and user0, it would help congestion and also save fuel.

Many private companies, large corporations have campuses that are away from residential areas. Some export oriented activities like SEZs require people to be at office for purposes of regulatory requirements. If that can be looked to allow people to work from home more liberally it would be a good start

Thanks for asking citizens for suggestions. Couple of options:
- Many of us travel for reasons of work to our offices. If the govt can help us work for a day from home that would be a good start. Most of our work is now computer based and if people can be given the permission and internet connectivity to their work desks, it would help reduce commute

It is a great idea to avoid using petroleum fuel for a day; for that matter why not every day. I would love to walk or cycle but I cannot because there are no footpaths in most stretches of the road either in New Delhi or NOIDA, and of course cycle paths are rarer and where they do exist they are taken over by motorcycles and scooters. I would urge the city authorities to do something as simple as plan exclusive safe walking/cycling trails that will allow more people to commute without oil.
