Dear Sir,
Instead of appealing to avoid petrol, we can also build the strong public transportation. Today, everyone wants a personal car because of lack of availability of public transport. Identify the routes and increase the service of buses on a route. After that appeal to the peoples to use public transport.I can assure you that only by increasing public transport facility it will lead to a major reduction in consumption of oil. CNG buses and AC buses can be used for the same.

Dear sir,
it sounds great but next to impossible where living in city like Mumbai we still dont have dedicated FOOTPATH (may places occupied by hawkers) and driving bicycle on road is to ready for injury because of the harsh driving of bikes/autos and mostly the commercial private vehicles....if the dedicated lane is made than seems possible and practical. Looking forward to some solution soon which i feel only the Team Modi can do it.

Following steps may be taken :
1. Some form of prize (either monetary or psychological like chance to meet an eminent personality) through lottery for people using public transport on a fixed working week day.
2. One hour car free zone, both in morning and evening one day a week, to promote cycling by people for commuting to and from their working locations.
3. Identification and beautification of high density routes inside cities to improve quality of green travel (cycling or walking)

We can use concept followed in New York. There government close down some streets where no vehicles are allowed. If you want to go through those streets you have to use either bicycle or by walk. This is a good step and also we use those closed streets for recreational acticities.

very pleasant and panacea like initiative to control pollution , diseases , social evils of pomp & show . Buying a bicycle with every engine-driven-vehicle be made compulsory. free parking for bicycle at every public place be ensured . bicycle-race for every age group would also help. ED on engine-driven-vehicle be increased . new districts be developed for inclusive growth . Also UP be splitted into 3-4 states so that every student / citizen can travel to their distt HQ/Capital by the bicycle.

Respected pm sir I think there should be dedicated lane for cyclist so that people can drive hassle free and without any fearas I feel cycling on the main road is bit difficult and dangerous too because people drive roughly and in that traffic cycling is not possible daily.I feel it's the right time to raise an point for a separate small lane as so many places in thane road widening work is going on so the govt can give order to make separate lane.
