The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. The Commission initiates program which aids empowerment and holistic development of women so that they are capable to gain access to opportunities and make their own decisions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was launched in 2000 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on November 25th. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women seeks to raise awareness about violence against women. This day aims to eliminate violence by removing stigma and encouraging women to speak out against abusers. This day defines violence against women as any act of gender-based violence that results in or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. The goal of this day is to achieve equality, development, and peace. It aims toward the fulfillment of women's and girls’ human rights.

In pursuance of its mandate and in order to achieve the goal of ‘Elimination of Violence against Women', the Commission invites inputs, suggestions, and feedback from all stakeholders through MyGov Portal, with a focus on Breaking the Silence against Gender Violence. The aim of the programme is to promote equality, development, and peace among the masses.

The last date to receive suggestions/input is 24th December 2021.

On one side we talk about gender equality and on the other side, the laws of our country are so biased in favour of woman due to which there has been so many women misusing the laws to satisfy their own personal vendettas or to extort money from their husbands and in laws. This has become legal terrorism. First and foremost, IPC sections 498A should be completed removed so as to prevent this legal extortion. There is a dire need for gender neutral laws, otherwise indian society will collapse.

There is so much violence created by many women for the men's mother and sister. System is also not consider them as women. System must also provide the support for such women not just a single women who is misusing her right and creating bad image of every Indian women. The men are also committing suicide because of false cases and how women supported system looked at this. if men is wrong, he won't commit suicide but there is no consideration to this fact and no action against these women.

System must teach all victim women to be self dependent as we all are going to be so gender equality phenomenon. It's good to hear but not in practice at all. So called highly educated women are asking for money and not able to stand for their own expense. Where an illiterate men do all to feed his own family without expecting much. So please this is my request to this system: - Make women self dependent - Save kid's future from the orphan situation - Help only victim women

Men are suffering in silence because most women are inflicting mental torture on her husband by abusing the process of law using as weapon rather than shield. A husband's mother who is also a women needs protection from her DIL because she is made to share the same roof with her abuser. Her Senior citizen rights should not be overridden by residential rights of DIL in DV act 2005. Same way Husbands sister also need protection. These women from husband family are not heard in martial discord.

The system must support only in genuine case and save more kids to get orphan or killed by wrong women. I agree, men made mistake in the past but that time, he was not so educated as of now. but One thing is common, he takes all the pain and sacrifice for him and his family. Is this true with today's more educated women who are filing false cases and complaint. we have seen all not in matrimonial cases even on the public places as well how women are treating any men and expecting a nice gesture

We all respect to every woman, inside and outside as well. Even more educated men are so respectful to more and more human being and more generous to women. But the same is not true in a way that more educated women are more violent than men. They don't even respect for her or men's parent by any means and including file false cases. Being such women in India and getting support from Indian system, men are loosing trust in Indian marriage system, other consequence is making more kids as orphan.
