The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. The Commission initiates program which aids empowerment and holistic development of women so that they are capable to gain access to opportunities and make their own decisions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was launched in 2000 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on November 25th. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women seeks to raise awareness about violence against women. This day aims to eliminate violence by removing stigma and encouraging women to speak out against abusers. This day defines violence against women as any act of gender-based violence that results in or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. The goal of this day is to achieve equality, development, and peace. It aims toward the fulfillment of women's and girls’ human rights.

In pursuance of its mandate and in order to achieve the goal of ‘Elimination of Violence against Women', the Commission invites inputs, suggestions, and feedback from all stakeholders through MyGov Portal, with a focus on Breaking the Silence against Gender Violence. The aim of the programme is to promote equality, development, and peace among the masses.

The last date to receive suggestions/input is 24th December 2021.

Dear Modi Ji, Blatant misuse of IPC 498A, PWDVA & CrPC 125 by qualified, working wives is the abuse of Women Empowerment schemes. Lakhs of harrassed men are committing suicide & their families are getting devastated. Adultery by women is a major social evil today due to which they are filing false cases on husband's to destroy families, what is the government's plan to #Repeal498A and eliminate adultery of women?

It is not the right way to equip the women with all swords and techniques to face the danger. The core flaw flaw lies in the mindset of the people who undermines the women. We are the proudful heirs of the greatest heritage which worship women like mother, God and everything. If everyone starts worshiping God as their mother like Durga/Kali/Saraswathi/Lakshmi.. then everyone sees the same god/mother in every women. If that happens no violence against women takes place.

Women must be self defensive and offensive when threat arises, and encourage other women to grow and develop financially and make start up culture, and involve more and more village girls and ladies who make artisans and crafts and give an exposure for the international market so that , they can build their own franchises and make money out of that, and tax to the village communities must be reduced

Girls and women are mothers and future of any nation and social media should give positive impetus rather than negative thoughts. Moral education and physical strength by yoga should be essential part of our culture and boys should be grown with basic moral education
