The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. The Commission initiates program which aids empowerment and holistic development of women so that they are capable to gain access to opportunities and make their own decisions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was launched in 2000 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on November 25th. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women seeks to raise awareness about violence against women. This day aims to eliminate violence by removing stigma and encouraging women to speak out against abusers. This day defines violence against women as any act of gender-based violence that results in or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. The goal of this day is to achieve equality, development, and peace. It aims toward the fulfillment of women's and girls’ human rights.

In pursuance of its mandate and in order to achieve the goal of ‘Elimination of Violence against Women', the Commission invites inputs, suggestions, and feedback from all stakeholders through MyGov Portal, with a focus on Breaking the Silence against Gender Violence. The aim of the programme is to promote equality, development, and peace among the masses.

The last date to receive suggestions/input is 24th December 2021.

Government should start a club for all Indians where a teacher teaches them to self defense and many more technics and payment for teachers should be from government side and you if this is not possible offline then u should start this online by launching an app for free of cost . And tell every citizen to be the part of this act . Thank you... ☺

Before applying thought to more women centric policies, think about this- 1. Repeal 498A which is a draconian law and causes harassment of more mothers and sisters in law than wives. 2. Make Domestic Violence Act gender neutral since women cause more domestic violence than men. 3. Strike out Article 15(3) which contradicts the very purpose of Article 15. Save the Indian family culture by removing gender-biased laws. This will bring peace and harmony.

Blatant misuse of IPC 498A, PWDVA & CrPC 125 by qualified, working wives is the abuse of Women Empowerment schemes. Lakhs of harrassed men are committing suicide & their families are getting devastated. Adultery by women is a major social evil today due to which they are filing false cases on husband's to destroy families, what is the government's plan to eliminate adultery of women?

If you always choose to make it a women vs men debate, it is only going to destroy our society. In our society men are taught to take responsibility of a family and women are taught to be independent. The difference is clearly visible. Just think what will happen if men are taught to be independent. These days we can't even think of teaching women to take responsibility of a family. We are putting a divide between both genders. This is going to destroy our society.

Stop these divisive policies if you really want welfare of Indian citizens. Police in India has failed miserably in prevention of violence on men & women. Eliminate corruption of police first. Abolish women centric laws because privileged, qualified & working women file false cases in IPC 498A , CrPc 125, DV Act 2005, and others for extortion of maintenance & alimony legally. Neither police nor lower courts follow guidelines laid by Supreme Court. Are mother-in-laws & sister-in-laws not women?

Make divorce laws easy. As men and women both know that its almost impossible to get divorce unless the other partner agrees, they use other ways like wife using a false 498a. When a relationship is toxic, one partner doesn't agree for divorce just because he/she thinks that he/she will teach the other partner a lesson. Even if you make it easy for women to get a divorce, she will have to go through less trauma of a toxic relationship. Many mens life would also get saved.

When women can accuse two month old toddler for domestic violence and still walk in the society with out any repurcussions. If this is not empowerment then after your new empowerment I guess women will start accusing the people who are yet to be born and the judiciary will take it seriously and never see it as a citizen making a joke out of the judiciary.

In the world of vote banks, When a two month old kid can be accused of domestic violence by a women and such women is walking free without any repurcussions. It makes us think that law makers never noticed that because the two month child was not 18 year old voting women. Thanks for empowering women to the point that the society will crumble down taking the weight of the unproductive insensitive women.

Womens rights are talked about and mens duties this the reason why supreme court in one of it's judgenments said "men should forget about their rights" and "498A is legal terrorism" These are comments made by the supreme court of India. Such laws were meant to protect and empower women but no one thought about fool proofing it. It's a matter of common sense that government provides scheme for public to enjoy benifits but penalizes for misusing. But why such a thing is not seen here?
