The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. The Commission initiates program which aids empowerment and holistic development of women so that they are capable to gain access to opportunities and make their own decisions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was launched in 2000 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on November 25th. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women seeks to raise awareness about violence against women. This day aims to eliminate violence by removing stigma and encouraging women to speak out against abusers. This day defines violence against women as any act of gender-based violence that results in or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. The goal of this day is to achieve equality, development, and peace. It aims toward the fulfillment of women's and girls’ human rights.

In pursuance of its mandate and in order to achieve the goal of ‘Elimination of Violence against Women', the Commission invites inputs, suggestions, and feedback from all stakeholders through MyGov Portal, with a focus on Breaking the Silence against Gender Violence. The aim of the programme is to promote equality, development, and peace among the masses.

The last date to receive suggestions/input is 24th December 2021.

Govt through various laws has been encouraging false cases by women. Whether those are false rape cases or false DV cases. Even when it gets proved that the cases are false, such women are fined for 500/- and its over. Once govt stops treating men as second class citizens, once men believe that govt is not just interested in appeasement of women, and once govt talks about reducing the violence irrespective of whether its against men or women, the overall situation will improve.

Dear Modiji and who so ever it matters, Before we come to any conclusions about the statutary rights of women and assuming such rights are deprived for women, let's logically see whether are they really a matter of concern? The Law of domestic violence are more misused than it is used. There are examples in which a 2 month child was accused of domestic violence by a women. A child who cannot speak how can that child possibly harm a women who you are trying to empower?

Government through its appeasement policy towards women is creating a divide between men and woman. It is ultimately leading women to believe that they are privileged and men can see the bias against them. It ultimately leads to a negative image for women in mens mind. For example, why doesn't govt care about the violence in general? Why is violence against women more important than violence against men? While govt says "beti padhao, beti bachao", sons are thinking what wrong they have don

It’s really unfortunate that I have voted to this government who pays a blind eye to atrocities on men and increasing male suicides in india. How can you not see that there’s no DV Act for men and innocent men are committing suicides lack of support or recourse by government. Please stop feminism and gender appeasement politics at least now before people vote for NOTA in upcoming elections. Stop legal terrorism and oppressing men.

Given the insistence women e/where all including military , how do you define crime against women ? Basic principle f that is not a crime/abuse of men , it should not be crime/abuse against women. if live in relation ship , partner swapping, or casting couch legit or rather encouraged aka honey trapping, what can you define as crime . how do you define consent? if breaking promise /word is crime , how about congi and other political party promises >75 years garibi hatao all legit ? 1rule4all?
