The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. The Commission initiates program which aids empowerment and holistic development of women so that they are capable to gain access to opportunities and make their own decisions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was launched in 2000 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on November 25th. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women seeks to raise awareness about violence against women. This day aims to eliminate violence by removing stigma and encouraging women to speak out against abusers. This day defines violence against women as any act of gender-based violence that results in or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. The goal of this day is to achieve equality, development, and peace. It aims toward the fulfillment of women's and girls’ human rights.

In pursuance of its mandate and in order to achieve the goal of ‘Elimination of Violence against Women', the Commission invites inputs, suggestions, and feedback from all stakeholders through MyGov Portal, with a focus on Breaking the Silence against Gender Violence. The aim of the programme is to promote equality, development, and peace among the masses.

The last date to receive suggestions/input is 24th December 2021.

Honorable Prime Minister, I can only read WOMEN everywhere. Be it empowerment be it security be it schemes from GOI or be it Law. There is nothing left for MEN in this country. No initiative taken from any of the Government for welfare of MEN. MEN in India are in a pathetic condition and mostly due to Gender Biased Law. They should have been equal for all.

Now a days just after marriage, wife start treating husband like servant. If he deny something then give threat of false cases like 498a, dv etc. The domestic violence on husband by wife is increasing exponentially. Thats why NCRB report says that men suicide is 2.5 times female suicide..

Modi Ji, A men is committng suicide every 6 minute due to false 498A, DV and 125 crpc cases filed by his wife just to extort money. Its my humble request to my govt. to abolish these laws and save innocent men from harrasment and suicide.

498A, DV Act and 125 crp is most misused law in India. It is filed for extortion , arm twisting and for harassing man and his family to fulfill their other demands. As per NCRB data more than 95% Cases of 498a and DV found as fake Case. Even after blatant misuse of these laws Govt is not making it Gender neutral and not making any mechanism to punish false accuser. In these laws female members of husbands family are also harrased by system. Hoping that Govt will make it Gender neutral.
