The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. The Commission initiates program which aids empowerment and holistic development of women so that they are capable to gain access to opportunities and make their own decisions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was launched in 2000 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on November 25th. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women seeks to raise awareness about violence against women. This day aims to eliminate violence by removing stigma and encouraging women to speak out against abusers. This day defines violence against women as any act of gender-based violence that results in or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. The goal of this day is to achieve equality, development, and peace. It aims toward the fulfillment of women's and girls’ human rights.

In pursuance of its mandate and in order to achieve the goal of ‘Elimination of Violence against Women', the Commission invites inputs, suggestions, and feedback from all stakeholders through MyGov Portal, with a focus on Breaking the Silence against Gender Violence. The aim of the programme is to promote equality, development, and peace among the masses.

The last date to receive suggestions/input is 24th December 2021.

Men are going through difficult times. The laws are completely made for Women's protection, what about Men? If Men is visiting police station to file a complaint against Women, the officials completely ignores him, why? But when it is Women, Police officials takes immediate action and treats Men as they are guilty. It has become a trend. Women's complaint's are accepted Immediately but when it is Men, "Arey yaar thoda to chalta hai, biwi hai" Why? We need string Law to protect MENTOO!

Most Respected PMJI VANAKKAM My humble suggestions 1) 50 percent reservation can be made for women in all the competitive examinations . 2) All the complaints of violence against women should be promptly registered and investigated in a fair, full, transparent and credible manner. District SPs should personally monitor the progress of investigation. 3) No coercion , threat or intimidation of aggrieved women should be allowed . Central intelligence agencies should keep a close ,discreet watch

The Violence against Men also needs to be considered. The Victims of 498A, DV Act are going through tough phases of their life, torture by society as whole, mental peace lost and separation from their own child. India AWAKE, MEN ARE IN DANGER! We respect women but try to understand Men are also part of society. These Laws have made Men's life miserable and you can see the number of Men committing suicide, we Love Mother but Father also deserves the same Love.

If the cause of violence exist, nothing can stop. So what is the cause? Please let us know the cause, then we can suggest something good. Making laws without understanding of true ground reality can be disastrous I.e. 498a and 125 which is destroying families socially, mentally and physically. Don't make decisions sitting inside a air conditioned cabin. Visit families and take input from victims, and then also take inputs of accused. Have a physiological analysis of the findings.
