Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

राज्य और केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के लिए सभी मृत्यु प्रमाण पत्र एक ही प्रारूप में होने चाहिए। यह सिस्टम में डेटा और रिपोर्ट प्रारूप की स्थिरता लाएगा |

All birth certificate should same format for State and Union territory. This will bring data and report format consistency in the system

Digital birth certificate should be issue compulsory which can later be linked with aadhar card in future, so that if someone change his/her hard copy of their respective birth certificate then it will be caught when comes under government scrutiny.

माननीय महोदय, दिल्ली में बुधवार एवं शनिवार को अनिवार्य रूप से लांग डाउन लगाने का अध्यादेश जारी किया जाना चाहिए। राजनीति से ऊपर उठ कर आपसी द्वैस को भूलाकर देश एवं देश के नागरिक प्रथम। बच्चो, बुजुर्गो, गर्भवती महिलाओं के स्वास्थ्य पर बहुत बुरा प्रभाव पड़ रहा है साथ ही सम्पूर्ण विश्व में दिल्ली एवं देश की छवि खराब हो रही कुछ दिनों पहले यमुना नदी के प्रदूषण के कारण दिल्ली एवं भारत की छवि बहुत खराब हुयी है। देश का बच्चा-बच्चा स्वस्थ होगा तो देश की तरक्की एवं प्रगति होगी।।
