Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

Dear PM Modiji, Please ensure that NRIs can get non-availability of birth certificate document online when overseas. As an NRI living in USA, who was born before 1970, I don' have a birth certificate. So, I require the non-availability of birth certificate document from the municipality of my birth for many official purposes in USA. This facility is not available online and I would need to travel to India to get it. Please sir, your help will be much appreciated.

বৃদ্ধা মা দের ও পশ্চিমবঙ্গে র মাটিতে রক্ষা নেই। বৃদ্ধা মা কে ধরে REP করার চেষ্টা ও তারপরে খুন। এটাই কি তবে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বৈশিষ্ট্য গত রূপ! আমাকে আজকের এই ঘটনা শোভা মজুমদারের কথা মনে করিয়ে দিল। স্বচ্ছ ভারত বর্ষের সাথে সাথে স্বচ্ছ পশ্চিমবঙ্গ কেও করতে চাই, কিন্তু হচ্ছে কোথায়!!!????

Honble PM. Birth & Death record should be connected with Food and supply and other concern like aadhar etc so that their records shall be updated. It will reduce crowd in offices. With every birth certificate one' should get insurance by govt.

सरकारी योजनाओ का लाभ लेने हेतु जन्म एवं मृत्यू पजीकरण जरुरी हो गया है! फर्जीबाड़ा खत्म हुआ है यह जनहित मे यह अच्छा कानून है!

mygov app पर जिस व्यक्ति के points 50000 के ऊपर हो चुके उनके लिए PM मोदी जी को ऐसी effective ID देना चाहिए जो हर जगह applicable हो और उस व्यक्ति का सरकारी कार्यालयों मे कोई भी काम तुरन्त हो। किसी भी कार्य मे कोई रूकावट न आये।
