Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

Registration of Birth and Death should become a robust system 1. one Bharat One Identity should be delivered At the time of birth in the Hospital authorized by the Doctor describing the Time of birth,Date of Birth, Mothers Aadhar No, Fathers Aadhar No. A Child UID No shall be auto generated without Biometric and Identity. if child born out of hospital Anganwadis should generate the UID no for new born child by furnishing above details. same for Miarrage and Death.

Birth Certificate must also have names of Grand-parents, both maternal as well as paternal, for easier succession / inheritance and also for DNA tracing for Medical purposes of the future. This simple step can be very helpful in the future.

Institutions, responsibility of informing the events to the registrar Public: In case of birth and Death, Citizen should inform about the event within 21 days to the registrar of their jurisdiction.In case Death, citizen should place Doctor certificate in original form along with burial /cremation.. dA death must be registered before a funeral can take place. It must be registered within five days in the local authority are in which it took place.The normal period of 21 days (From the date of occurrence) has been prescribed for reporting the birth, death and still birth events. Mr . Prime Minister , I request you to make all the educated people to serve in rural villages for at least 2 years mandatory for the development . AS we know almost all the villages have enough resources needed for the development and to be self dependent. but due to lack of skilled personals and expertise lacking behind from all the opportunities of development. The serving period for the personals should be made mandatory between 10 and 20 years of experience in their respective areas.
