Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

Namaste! This is a very good initiative. Humble request to have more Sign Languages in the implementation for the participation of all citizens of our nation. Sign or symbolic representation of the proposals give easier access for the public participation. Thank you

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री जी, भारत में जन्म और मृत्यु का पंजीकरण जन्म और मृत्यु के पंजीकरण (आरबीडी), अधिनियम 1969 के अधिनियमन के साथ अनिवार्य है और घटना के स्थान के अनुसार किया जाता है। मौजूदा आरबीडी अधिनियम, 1969 की विभिन्न धाराओं के प्रावधानों को सरल बनाने और इसे लोगों के अनुकूल बनाने की दृष्टि से, भारत सरकार ने आरबीडी अधिनियम, 1969 में संशोधन करने का प्रस्ताव किया है।

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री जी, जन्म-मृत्यु का पंजीकरण उस समय अनिवार्य हो जाता है यदि कोई सरकारी दस्तावेज ताकि लोग जन्म-मृत्यु का पंजीकरण करा सकें। हम ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में भी ग्राम पंचायत की मदद ले सकते हैं।

IF A PERSON IS DEAD AND BROUGHT TO BURIAL GROUND , THEN ALSO FUNERAL CERTIFCIATE SHOULD BE GIVEN IMMEDAITELY ON THE DAY ITSELF ANS SHOULD BE MADE ONLINE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.

REGISTRATIONS OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS IN INDIA IS MANDATORY AND OFFICE OF THE REGISTER GENERAL SHOULD TAKE STRICT MEASURES AND DIRECT TO ALL THE HOSPITALS TO SEE THAT REGISTRATIONS ,SHOULD BE MADE ON THE DAY ITSELF OR WITHIN ONE DAY WHERE THE CHILD HAS BORN OR THE PERSON HAS DEAD IN THE HOSPITAL .

Registration of birth and death is making compulsory for government document. The duty of R and B authority is to just register birth and death and it does not extended to any other sphere. The proposal is to good as its include various provision which reduces sketchy and broad character of RBA 1969.But,it is not a good to add section 3A, 4A.It is one of the best amendment for transforming 🇮🇳. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.

Registration if birth and death is make compulsory at the time if any government document so that people will make the registration of birth and death. we can take help gram panchayat in rural area also.
