We need to create a separate Civil Registration & Vital Statistics (CRVS) department to govern, control n perform continuous updation of all births and deaths, issues birth and death certificates, compiles and disseminates vital statistics, including cause of death information. They should also record marriages and divorces. CRVS system will strengthen the efforts in order to ensure maximum benefit from routine data systems for policy and development. WHO already have CRVS system in place

The civil registration of births and deaths represents the legal recognition of a person’s existence, from the start of life until death. It also implies an acknowledgement of d responsibilities of the state towards the individual. The benefits of higher rates of civil registration are not limited to d individual, countries need to know how many people r born n die each year to safeguard individual’s right to establish a legal identity from birth.
