Registration of Births and Deaths in India is mandatory with the enactment of Registration of Births and Deaths (RBD), Act 1969 and is done as per the place of occurrence of the event. With a view to simplify the provisions of various sections of the existing RBD Act, 1969 and to make it people friendly, the Government of India has proposed to amend the RBD Act, 1969.

Existing sections of the Act and amendments proposed by the Office of the Registrar General, India (ORGI) are indicated in the first two columns of the proposal respectively.
Ministry of Home Affairs seeks feedback and suggestions along with the justification for the proposed amendments.

people born with middle sex should be given birth right to read and to learn professional training for earning money . NGOs, Government and society should make efforts to support these people standing on their own feet. By now they earn by dancing and by begging ,this is unfair, they should be a part of society instead of being a part of entertainment. They should be treated as normal human beings . If there physical defect is not their fault so why are they punished for it.

21 दिनों के अंदर जन्म-मृत्यु का निबंधन अनिवार्य किया...साथ इसके लागू करने कड़े नियम बनाये जाए। 21 दिनों की अवधि पूर्ण होने के पश्चात 30 दिनों का अतिरिक्त समय दिया जाए। उसके बाद भी यदि निबंधन न कराया जाय तो विलंब शुल्क 1 रुपये से बढ़ा कर 5000/- तक किया जाय.... जिनका जन्म निबंधन समय पर न हो उन्हें सरकारी सुविधावों से वंचित रखा जाय।

Government should install a kiosk at each major graveyard and in the vicinity of burning ghats to complete all the formalities from the heirs of the deceased on the spot and the government can stall the same kiosk at every hospital or maternity centre to avoid further delay in getting the birth certificate as both the certificates to come to the family concerned after long three months, sometimes more than normal course.

Synchronized data should be introduced and it should be done online by all hospitals including government hospitals. And their should be accountability of these hospitals to submit the data on regular basis.

1st of all there is urgent requirement of population act then I think not only concern of own country the whole of world must apply 2child policy cause from birth 2 death journey r right 2live happy/healthy/economic life along with nature/animal & rules/regulations so in such modern era take help of technology/infotech eg- make a one portal where records of birth/death cn anybody mention/access cause- most cases r not on recoded eg-when crime goes or unwanted child (especially girl)

Nowadays most of the deliveries are institutionalised so hospitals will directly submit data on daily basis but synchronisation among crematorium places of different religions should be made efficient to timely report deaths.

National informatics centre could help registrar office in implementing this changes by supporting digital Infrastructure with proper methods to note down births and deaths.
